Kashmir: Jawans escort pregnant woman to hospital; PM Narendra Modi lauds Indian Army [VIDEO]

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday lauded the Indian Army for its “humanitarian spirit” after it helped a pregnant lady reach the hospital. Over 40 Chinar Corps personnel along with 30 people escorted a pregnant lady to the hospital on a stretcher in the snow-covered Kashmir valley on Tuesday. The woman has been identified as Shamina. A infantry field formation of the Indian Army, Chinar Corps, took to twitter to share the video which shows Army personnel and civilians taking the woman to the hospital through heavy snow. The video was captioned: "During heavy snowfall, an expecting mother Mrs Shamima, required emergency hospitalisation. For 4 hours over 100 Army persons & 30 civilians walked with her on stretcher through heavy snow. Baby born in hospital, both mother & child doing fine."
