While coronavirus cases in the national capital have been declining, the IIT-Delhi has warned Delhi to be ready to handle around 45,000 COVID-19 cases daily during the third wave of coronavirus. Over 9,000 patients would be needing hospitalisation in the “worst-case scenario” of the third wave of coronavirus, the IIT-Delhi stated. It observed that “We are dealing with a once-in-a-century pandemic... The last pandemic was in 1920, it said, adding that setting up an oxygen manufacturing plant would go a long way.
