5 dead after bus falls into deep gorge in Udhampur
Five people died and 31 others were injured after a bus they were travelling, rolled into a deep gorge in Udhampur in Jammu & Kashmir on Saturday morning. The bus was on its way to Srinagar from Surinsar. The accident took place at Majalta in Udhampur district.

According to media sources, all five people died on the spot. Police and emergency response services reached the spot. The rescue operation is underway.
The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital. Doctors told the media that condition of some of the injured is critical.
On Friday, three security personnel were killed in an encounter with militants in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Babagund area of Kupwara following information about the presence of militants.
