55 year old farmer commits suicide in Sangrur A farmer in Punjab committed suicide by consuming poison as he was going through financial troubles at home, here on Friday morning. The 55 year old farmer, was a resident of Shahpur Kalan Village, Sangrur who had been undergoing financial crisis for a long time and was going under stress. He had also sold off 2 acre land to get rid of debt and bare the family expenses. Finding no respite from the financial crisis, he committed suicide. -PTC News
