550th Parkash Purb: Nirmala Sitharaman visits Gurdwara Bangla Sahib

550th Parkash Purb: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman visited Gurdwara Bangla Sahib on the 550th birth anniversary of Sikhism founder Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji, on Tuesday. Nirmala Sitharaman earlier said in a tweet, "Even Kings and emperors with heaps of wealth and vast dominion cannot compare with an ant filled with the love of God.” - Guru Nanak. On the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti, will be seeking the blessings of the Guru at the Bangla Sahib Gurudwara, this morning."

Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in a tweet: "Today, on the very special occasion of the 550th Prakash Parv of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, my greetings to everyone. This is a day to rededicate ourselves to fulfilling Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s dream of a just, inclusive and harmonious society."

Meanwhile, Union Minister Amit Shah said, "Modi government is devoted to the thoughts and teachings of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, this is our prime motto of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas. The historic 'Kartarpur Corridor' dedicated to the countrymen by Modi ji on the 550th birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
