6 Christians killed in attack on church in Burkina Faso At least six people lost their lives and dozens of others were injured after motorbike-borne assailants attacked a Protestant church in Burkina Faso in West Africa. The attackers reportedly arrived on seven motorbikes at the end of Sunday's service. They killed the pastor, two of his sons and three other worshippers. Two people were reported missing after the attack.

The attackers were on motorbikes. They fired in the air before aiming at the members of the congregation.” According to government spokesman Remy Fulgance Dandjinou, this was the first attack on a church since sectarian violence erupted in the African country. West Africa Project Director at International Crisis Group, Rinaldo Depagne, said, "Armed groups...have every interest in troubling or going against the good understanding between religions.
