65 properties sealed in Delhi
More than 60 properties were today sealed in north and south Delhi for alleged violation of civic norms, officials said.
The action was taken on the instruction of a Supreme Court-appointed monitoring committee.
As many as 20 properties were sealed in Rajouri Garden, Punjabi Bagh, Hari nagar areas, the South Delhi Municipal Corporation said.
Six of the properties sealed were in A11, A15 and A31 blocks of Rajouri Garden, which were housing a training institute, a company showroom and an office, among other establishments.
About 45 properties were sealed in areas in north Delhi, including eight in Nangia Park, the area's civic body said.
The North Delhi Municipal Corporation also carried out partial demolition of an ashram in Rohini on Tuesday, from where several women, who were allegedly kept in illegal confinement, were rescued recently. PTI
