Seven died and four others were injured after a car drove onto a sidewalk on Tuesday in southwest China. The vehicle rushed onto the sidewalk and hit a bus stop in the morning. The incident took place in Leshan, a city in Sichuan province.

The police has detained the driver and investigations are underway. The injured were rushed to the nearby hospital.
Just five days earlier, a driver hit a group of schoolchildren crossing the street in Huludao, a city in northeast Liaoning province. During this incident, five children were killed and another 19 were injured.
