8 killed, 20 injured after HRTC bus rolled down a gorge in Shimla
Eight people were killed and around 20 were injured after a Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) bus rolled down a gorge near Theog in Shimla district on Friday morning.
The injured were immediately shifted to the Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital, police said.
The accident took place when the bus was on its way to Tikkar from Shimla on the Theog-Hatkoti road. Witnesses told the police that the bus driver lost control over the vehicle when it was descending a steep gradient.
