All 8,000 Candidates Fail Exam For Accountant's Posts In Goa Nearly 8,000 candidates appeared for an examination conducted for 80 posts of the accountant in the Goa government and all of them failed the test. All the candidates were graduates and they need to secure minimum 50 marks out of 100 to qualify. Unfortunately, not a single candidate was able to qualify it. The initial recruitment examination was held on January 7 this year. It was a five-hour examination inclusive of a 100 marks paper on English, GK and Accounts-related questions. After clearing the test round, the candidates were supposed to go through an oral interview round before the final selection. Aam Aadmi Party's Goa general secretary Pradeep Padgaonkar criticised the delay in announcement of results and said the failure of all 8,000 candidates is a sad commentary on the "collapse" of the state's education system.
