CM DESCRIBES AAP AS A ‘DISARRAYED FORCE’ SAYS PARTY LACKS ANY PRO-PEOPLE OR DEVELOPMENT ORIENTED IDEOLOGY SLAMS CONGRESS LEADERSHIP FOR IGNORING THE PEOPLE SANGAT DARSHAN PROGRAM FINDS NO PARALLEL IN THE COUNTRY ASSAILS OPPOSITION FOR CRITICIZING THIS PRO-PEOPLE INITIATIVE Tarn Taran: Describing the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) as a disarrayed force, the Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal today said that this party was bereft of any pro-people or development oriented ideology. Addressing the gathering here during Sangat Darshan program of Khadoor Sahib assembly segment here today, the Chief Minister said that the antecedents and future planning of these people who claim themselves to be common man were not known to anybody. He said that the AAP government at Delhi has miserably failed to fulfill the expectations of the common man. Citing an example, Mr. Badal said that the Delhi Chief Minister had announced to hold ‘Janta Darbars’ for redressing the grievances of people, but this never turned into a reality. He said that this interactive program for redressing the public complaints could be successfully held by only those public representatives, who were well versed with the problems of the masses and not by those who were not aware of these woes. The Chief Minister said that in the same manner the Congress leaders were also averse to the idea of meeting the people due to which they had never came out of their posh residences to interact with the people. He said that these leaders used the mandate of people just for enjoying fruits of power rather than working for the development of the state and prosperity of its people. Mr. Badal said that Congress leaders used the power for their own well being whereas SAD-BJP alliance government has from day one devoted itself to public cause. Highlighting the significance of Sangat Darshan program, the Chief Minister said that it was a flagship program of his government from the first day ever since he assumed the office. He said that this program finds no parallel across the country as no other Chief Minister bothers to spare so much time for the people by solving their problems at their doorsteps. Mr. Badal said that this program helps in quick resolution of public problems on one hand besides judging the performance of the government officers/ officials on the other. However, the Chief Minister said that the forces wary to the interests of the state had been constantly opposing this pro-people initiative tooth and nail. He said that those people who have done nothing for the welfare of state were criticizing it just for the sake of criticism. Mr. Badal said that this criticism would hardly deter him from carrying out this exercise of immense public importance and he would continue to serve the people through this initiative. The Chief Minister further said that the sole aim of organizing Sadbhawna rallies was to emerge Punjab as a ‘peaceful and prosperous’ state. He said that these rallies were being held to promote the ethos of peace and amity besides cementing the age old bond of communal harmony and brotherhood in the state. Mr. Badal said that these rallies are aimed at giving a stern message to the divisive forces that no one will be allowed to disturb the hard earned peace of the state. Later on interacting with the media persons, the Chief Minister said that all the people of the state irrespective of their political affiliations must attend the Sadbhwana Rallies in the larger national interests. He said that these rallies were not aimed at scoring any political goal but their sole objective was to promote peace and brotherhood in the state. Mr. Badal said that not only SAD-BJP alliance but every person of the state should vow to protect the hard earned peace of the state by attending these rallies. Mourning the sad demise of a 12 year old girl in a road accident at Lambi, the Chief Minister described it as an unfortunate incident. However, he said that law would take its own course in this matter. Prominent amongst other present on the occasion included Lok Sabha MP Jathedar Ranjit Singh Brahmpura, Chairman District Planning Committee Mr. Ravinder Singh Brahmpura, Special Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. KJS Cheema, Deputy Inspector General of Police Kunwar Vijay Pratap and Deputy Commissioner Mr. BS Dhaliwal and Vice Chancellor of Guru Nanak Dev University Dr Ajaib Singh Brar.
