Chandigarh, Dec 1- Adampur in Punjab reeled under biting cold at 4.5 degrees Celsius today even as the minimum temperature continued to hover below normal at most places in the state and neighbouring Haryana.
Among other places in Punjab, Bathinda also experienced a cold night at 5.5 degrees Celsius while Faridkot’s low settled at 5.8 degrees Celsius, a MeT official said here.
Pathankot at 7.3 degrees Celsius and Gurdaspur at 7.8 degrees Celsius also registered below normal minimum temperature.
Amritsar’s low settled at 6.2 degrees Celsius while Ludhiana and Patiala recorded respective minimum temperature of 8 degrees Celsius and 8.5 degrees Celsius.
Chandigarh, the common capital of the two states, recorded a low of 7.5 degrees Celsius, down two notches against normal limit.
In Haryana, Ambala recordeda lowof 8.9 degrees Celsius, Hisar (7 C), Karnal (6.2 C), Narnaul (7 C),Sirsa(7.5 C) and Rohtak (7.5 C) recorded below normal minimum temperature. PTI
