Afghanistan-Taliban News: Taliban on Wednesday started political talks with officials of the previous regime amid protests in Nangarhar, Khost, and Kunar provinces in which two civilians were killed. Anas Haqqani, a member of the Taliban Peace Council, met former Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai and Reconciliation Council chief Abdullah Abdullah. However, there have been no details on what was discussed during the meeting.
