After 27 years of marriage, Bill Gates and Melinda Gates announce divorce

After 27 years of marriage, the co-founder of Microsoft Bill Gates and Melinda Gates announced their divorce on Tuesday. According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, the pair command an estimated $146 billion.

The duo made no public hint about financial plans. However, they emphasized that they will cooperate on their philanthropy.

After 27 years of marriage, the co-founder of Microsoft Bill Gates and Melinda Gates announced their divorce on Tuesday.

Melinda Gates and Bill Gates said in a statement: “After a great deal of thought and a lot of work on our relationship, we have made the decision to end our marriage.”

After 27 years of marriage, the co-founder of Microsoft Bill Gates and Melinda Gates announced their divorce on Tuesday.

“Over the last 27 years, we have raised three incredible children and built a foundation that works all over the world to enable all people to lead healthy, productive lives,” they added.

The duo further said that “We continue to share a belief in that mission and will continue our work together at the foundation, but we no longer believe we can grow together as a couple in this next phase of our lives. We ask for space and privacy for our family as we begin to navigate this new life.”

Bill and Melinda Gates Are Divorcing After 27-Year Marriage

The 65-year-old co-founder of Microsoft Corp., Bill Gates, is the world’s fourth-richest person.

Melinda Gates is a former Microsoft manager who’s known for co-running the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
