After Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, now Punjab Governor Vijayender Pal Singh Badnore has accepted the Congress Leader Navjot Singh Sidhu Resignation, here on Saturday. Earlier, Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh accepted his resignation and sent it to the Governor VP Singh Badnore.

There have been headlines since the Punjab Cabinet Reshuffle when the Congress leader was handed over the Power Minister, but he didn’t take the charge for the same.

The Congress Leader hasn’t taken charge since a long time, and on July 14, he submitted his resignation to Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Twitter. Later, on July 15, he sent his resignation to Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh residence and confirmed it on the twitter.

Also, there were posters slated in the areas of Punjab asking for his resignation amid his statement during the Lok Sabha Elections 2019. Navjot Singh Sidhu, during Lok Sabha Elections, gave a statement, that he will quit politics if Rahul Gandhi will lose Amethi constituency against Smriti Irani. Likewise, Rahul Gandhi lost Amethi, that too with the margin of over 50,000 votes.

Meanwhile, Captain Amarinder Singh spoke up on Navjot Singh Sidhu resignation. He said, “If Sidhu doesn’t want to do his job, there’s nothing i can do about it”.

Likewise, the tussle started after Navjot Singh Sidhu’s wife gave a statement, that because of Punjab CM, she was not given the ticket. Hence, he said, “I have never opposed Mrs Sidhu,in fact I was the one who recommended to Rahul Ji that she contests from Bathinda. It was Sidhu who said that his wife will not contest from Bathinda but from Chandigarh. So it was not for him to decide this, party decides these things.”
