Following the violence during a tractor parade on Republic Day, the police constructed concrete barricading and fencing at Delhi borders. Furthermore, media entry to the Tikri border has been temporarily denied. The development comes at a time when there is tension at Delhi borders in the wake of violence that took place during the tractor parade on Republic Day. Media's entry has been restricted at the Tikri border till 5 pm ahead of the meeting between the Commissioner of Police and other officials. As soon as the pictures of concrete barricading and fencing at Delhi borders surfaced on social media, people took to Twitter and starting running a hashtag Fencing like China and Pakistan. It is pertinent to mention that the farmers have called for a Chakka Jam on February 6 across India. This is in a protest against the internet ban, farmers being “ignored” in the Budget, and other issues. Meanwhile, national and state highways will be blocked from 12 noon to 3 pm on February 6. Bhartiya Kisan Union (Arajnaitik) leader Rakesh Tikait on Tuesday said that "Our slogan was - 'kanoon wapsi nahi, to ghar wapsi nahi'." He said that the farmers' protest will not conclude before October, it will not end anytime soon. "There's no problem if Opposition was coming to support us but it should not be politicised.
