Punjab, February 12 :Before Congress party could release its official poll manifesto in Punjab, party chief of the state Navjot Singh Sidhu has made his ‘Punjab Model’ public on social media ahead of the state assembly elections on February 20.

Sharing his Punjab model Sidhu said, “Punjab Model draws inspiration from Guru Nanak’s philosophy of ‘terah-terah’ & ‘Sarbat Da Bhala’ and former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi's vision to empower panchayat Urban Local Bodies, he wrote on social media.

Taking to twitter Navjot Singh Sidhu said “new system scuttles all theft, erases mafia from Punjab, fills coffers to double them for people's welfare,". The cricketer-turned-politician’s detailed Punjab Model blueprint comes days after the Congress unequivocally nominated Charanjit Singh Channi as its chief ministerial face in the poll-bound state. In his Punjab Model manifesto, Sidhu lays down vision to make Punjab a welfare state and elaborates upon the 13 points he had previously shared at the initial launch back in January. These 13 points are:Nanak Naam Chardi Kala Tere Bhane Sarbat Da Bhala !! This is Punjab’s Model, Peoples model… to make Punjab a welfare state.
