Ahead Punjab Assembly elections 2022: SAD, BSP exchange Mohali, Ludhiana North seats with Raikot, Dina Nagar

Ahead of the Punjab Assembly elections 2022, Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal and BSP president Jasbir Singh Garhi have jointly announced the exchange of Mohali and Ludhiana North seats, which were with BSP, with Raikot and Dina Nagar seats which were earlier with the SAD. Former Punjab Education Minister and SAD leader Dr Daljit Singh Cheema on Tuesday said the total seat share of both parties remained the same. Also Read | IND vs NZ 3rd T20I: India clean sweep T20 series with 73-run win over NZ In a tweet, Dr Daljit Singh Cheema wrote, "The SAD President S Sukhbir Singh Badal and BSP President S Jasbir Singh Garhi have jointly announced the exchange of Mohali and Ludhiana North seats which were with BSP with Raikot and Dina Nagar seats which were earlier with SAD. In the 2017 Punjab Assembly polls, the Congress won an absolute majority in the state by winning 77 seats. The Aam Aadmi Party emerged as the second-largest party winning 20 seats in the 117-member Punjab Legislative Assembly.
