Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal launches 'Red Light On, Gaadi Off' campaign to control air pollution

In an order to control air pollution in Delhi, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has launched the 'Red Light On, Gaadi Off' initiative as a part of “Yudh, pradushan ke virudh” campaign. This comes as Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said that stubble burning contributes only 4 percent to pollution in Delhi. Kejriwal said that "We're launching a campaign 'Red Light On, Gaadi Off' to tackle air pollution. There are one crore vehicles registered in Delhi. According to experts, even if 10 lakh vehicles turn off ignition at traffic signals, then 1.5 tonnes of PM10 will reduce in a year." "Stubble Burning contributes 4 percent to air pollution in Dehli"
