Air Pollution in State: All Govt Schools in Punjab Reopen on 13th November

After a persistent thick layer of smog and pollution engulfing the normal lives in the state, Punjab and near by areas, the government schools reopened today. A thick layer of smog engulf the state, daily life of School goers, travelers via train, buses and on road had come to a full stop. A dozen of accidents were also witnessed in the past week due to the adverse conditions. The Schools in Punjab reopened today after they were closed down last week due to the weather conditions deteriorating in the state. However, schools in Bathinda will reopen on 15th November. While Delhi fights an odd even, Pakistan also suffers the after effects of stubble burning and requests captain government to stop farmers from practicing the act. A total of 37 vehicles involved in three pile-ups on the NH-1 in the Samalkha area of the district due to smog today. No casualty was reported in any accident. -PTC News
