A 28-year-old youth died of alleged drug overdose at village Wanjhawala in Ajnala on Monday.The deceased has been identified as Jaskaran Singh.

He was found under deteriorating conditions near farms. The locals admitted him to the local civil hospital in Ajanala, where he died during the treatment.

The police said a preliminary investigation revealed that it was a case of drug overdose death. Jaskaran Singh had been taking drugs for several years. He is survived by his wife and two childrens.
