Alia Bhatt lead in Aashiqui 3, confirmed
Alia Bhatt is all geared up to be a part of the Aashiqui franchise and said the upcoming film in the movie series is ultra special and close to her as it’s her father and director- producer Mahesh Bhatt’s home production.
The father daughter duo and the oh-so-hot Siddharth Malhotra will be seen creating magic on screen soon.
Alia, who made her Bollywood debut with Student of the Year, is collaborating with her father for the first time.
The third installment in the musical romance film series will see Alia opposite Siddharth Malhotra.
During an interaction with a leading tabloid, Siddharth Malhotra stated, "I was approached a while ago. It’s a great franchise, I loved Aashiqui 2 and I’ve worked with both its director Mohit Suri and Alia. We are waiting to get it all on paper. We want to present a better version of the franchise. Once we finish our prior commitments we will start on Aashiqui 3."

There were reports that Alia was not too keen on doing the film but the actor on Friday took to Twitter to rubbish such stories.
"Never ever said anything about not wanting to do Aashiqui 3! No idea where this is coming from," she wrote.
In another tweet, the actor said the project would take time.
"Aashiqui is a very special brand and working with my father for the first time is equally special! All things take their time. This will too."
