Amaranth Yatra 2019: First batch of 2234 pilgrims leaves Jammu for Yatra in Kashmir Himalayas

Jammu and Kashmir Governor K K Sharma's Advisor flagged off the first batch of 2234 Amarnath Yatra devotees from Yatri Niwas, Bhagwati Nagar in Jammu, here on Sunday. The first batch has been flagged off amid the heightened security. The first batch of Amarnath Yatra 2019 is comprised of 2234 pilgrims which include 45 Sadhus. The first batch has left for Baltal and Pahalgam base camps after traditional worship at the Jammu base camp at around 4:43 AM, here on Sunday. https://twitter.com/ANI/status/1145117459587981312 Out of these 2234, 1006 pilgrims will head to Baltal which includes 203 women and 10 children. These 1006 Amarnath Yatri have in a convoy of 45 vehicles which includes three bikes as well. Also Read: President of India to visit Siachen base camp tomorrow These Baltal pilgrims will stay at the Baltal base camp and then head towards the cave shrine. Likewise, 1228 pilgrims will head towards Pahalgam which includes 130 females and seven children in a convoy of same 45 vehicles. This batch is having a female Sahvi among the 45 Sadhus, which will head towards Pahalgam. Amid Amarnath Yatra, the government has rectified the security arrangements perfectly. Also, the teams that have been picked for the deployment of Amarnath Yatra 2019 has been experienced in an over 30 encounters from January 2018 till March, this year. There have been several other security arrangements in an order to make the Amarnath Yatra an error-free pilgrimage.
