Amazon apologies to SGPC for hurting Sikh sentiments
Amazon on Saturday apologised to Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) for hurting Sikh sentiments. It has sent a written apology to the legal advisor of SGPC in which it has mentioned that it regrets any disrespect and hurt caused to the Sikh community by the act of the third party sellers who attempt to sell inappropriate and offensive products.

Earlier in the week, SGPC has lodged a police complaint and also sent a legal notice to the largest e-retailer, Amazon for printing images of the Golden temple on rugs and doormats. They were listed on sale on its website. SGPC then demanded an apology from the company for hurting Sikh sentiments.
