Amazon Founder and CEO Jeff Bezos becomes first person ever to be worth over USD 200 billion
According to Forbes and Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Amazon Founder and CEO Jeff Bezos has become the first person ever whose net worth soared over USD 200 billion.
It went up by USD 4.9 billion after Amazon stock edged up two per cent as of Wednesday afternoon.
He also owns aerospace company called Blue Origin, the Washington Post and other private companies. However, his 11 percent stake in Amazon makes up for over 90 per cent of his massive income.
E-commerce giant Amazon saw huge spike in its sales amidst COVID-19 pandemic.

According to Forbes, the person who is closest to Bezos now is Microsoft Co-Founder, Bill Gates who is currently worth USD 116.1 billion, while the Bloomberg Billionaires Index put his net worth at $124 billion.
