Amid a decline in coronavirus cases in the state, the schools for classes 10, 11, and 12 in Captain Amarinder Singh meets Navjot Singh Sidhu; Rahul Gandhi says Punjab crisis resolved
It was announced after the coronavirus positivity rate in Punjab declined to 0.3 percent. Captain Amarinder Singh had said schools would be allowed to open for classes 10 to 12. Meanwhile, only fully vaccinated teachers and staff would be allowed to be physically present.

However, the physical presence of the students would be purely at the consent of the parents. The option of online classes would continue to operate
If the situation would be under control, the remaining classes would similarly be allowed to open from August 2, 2021, the Chief Minister had said.
He had also pointed out that Cambridge University has predicted that the cases would further decline in the coming weeks.
Punjab have reopened on Monday, July 26. Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh had announced relaxation from COVID restrictions on July 20.
The relaxations included a hike in the number of people in indoor gatherings to 150 and outdoors to 300, subject to an upper limit of 50 percent of the capacity.
