Amitabh Bachchan, son Abhishek test positive for coronavirus; Health Minister and others wish speedy recovery
Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek Bachchan have tested positive for the novel coronavirus. Soon after the news surfaced on social media, Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan and other prominent personalities took to Twitter to wish them a speedy recovery.
Abhishek Bachchan, while giving information, tweeted: "Earlier today both my father and I tested positive for COVID 19. Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to the hospital. We have informed all the required authorities and our family and staff are all being tested. I request all to stay calm and not panic. Thank you."

Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan said in a tweet: "My best wishes for a young, brilliant actor with a most charming smile. Take good care of yourself dear Abhishek Bachchan & of your father Amitabh Bachchan ji too. I am sure both of you will bounce back to perfect health soon."
Meanwhile, Amitabh Bachchan is said to be stable with mild symptoms and is currently admitted in the isolation unit of the hospital, the Public Relation Officer, Nanavati Super Speciality Hospital, Mumbai said.
