Most charitable persons in India: The most generous billionaires like better to start charitable institutes or foundations with experts to distribute their money to worthy causes. They are the highest charity donor in India including Azim Premji.
Here is the list of the most charitable persons in India who are the highest charity donor:
- Azim Premji, the founder of IT giant Wipro, is India's largest philanthropist. He has donated about 7,904 crore rupees in the last financial year i.e. 2019-20. This is revealed by the list of philanthropists released by Harun India.
In this way, Azim Premji has donated about 22 crores rupees every day. In its last financial year, he had donated only Rs 426 crore. In this financial year also, on April 1, his group has announced a donation of Rs 1125 crore for the fight against Corona.

- According to the EdelGive Hurun India Philanthropy List 2020, Shiv Nadar of HCL Technologies ranks second in this list. In its last financial year, he was the first in this list.
- Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries, is third on this list. Mukesh Ambani and his family have donated Rs 458 crore in the financial year 2019-20. On March 30 this year, Reliance had announced to give Rs 500 crore to the PM Cares Fund to fight Corona, but it would have been implemented in this financial year, so it has not been added to Reliance's last business year donation list.

- In this list, Kumar Mangalam Birla, Chairman of Aditya Birla Group is in the fourth position, who has spent a total of 276 crores in philanthropy work in one year. The Aditya Birla Foundation of Birla Group is doing remarkable work in the fields of education, health, and solar energy.
- In fifth place is Anil Agarwal, chairman of Vedanta Resources, who has donated a total of Rs 215 crore. The Vedanta Foundation of Anil Agarwal's group is working towards education, community development, women's empowerment.
- Ajay Piramal of Piramal Group and his family is at sixth place in this list. The Ajay Piramal family has donated Rs 196 crore. Infosys co-founder and chairman.
- Nandan Nilekani is at seventh place in this list with a total donation of Rs 159 crore.
- Hinduja Brothers are in eighth place in Harun's list of philanthropists
- Gautam Adani and his family are in ninth place. Hinduja Brothers have donated a total of 133 crores rupees in a year, while Gautam Adani has donated 88 crores rupees.
- Rahul Bajaj and his family of Bajaj Group are at the tenth position in this list. He has donated a total of 74 crores rupees in a year. The Jamnalal Bajaj Foundation of the Bajaj family works for change in many areas such as healthcare, education, rural development.
