Hyderabad police arrest Rakul Preet Singhs brother, Amanpreet Singh, in drug case
PTC News Desk: Amanpreet Singh, the brother of well-known actress Rakul Preet Singh, was reportedly taken into custody by the Cyberabad police on Monday, July 15, in relation to a drug case. According to the reports, Amanpreet was caught while purportedly buying cocaine from four Nigerians.
Before making the significant arrest, a police officer told the media that they had taken 200 grams of cocaine worth ?2 crores from the peddlers.
Amanpreet Singh was detained by the police along with the peddlers since he was the purported buyer.
Rakul Preet Singh was previously called by the ED in a related case, and her brother has now been taken into custody by the Hyderabad drugs wing and Rajendra Nagar Police (Cyberabad police) in a special operation.
The Enforcement Directorate questioned Rakul Preet Singh herself a few times. She was called in relation to charges involving drugs and money laundering. She faced intense questioning in Mumbai in 2021 for her suspected involvement in drug trafficking and financial dealings. Rakul continued to concentrate on her acting career, therefore none of these accusations were validated.
In September 2021, Rakul was even questioned about the local narcotics case by the Hyderabad ED. Jackky Bhagnani, a Bollywood producer, eventually became her husband.
