Fireworks and lighting mark Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji’s Prakash Purab at Golden Temple (see pictures)

Fireworks display and lighting marked the celebrations of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji’s Prakash Purab as thousands of devotees reached Sri Harmandir Sahib to offer prayers and seek blessings on Friday.

The complex, where the holiest of Sikh shrines "Sri Harmandir Sahib Ji" is located, was illuminated with lights, giving it an all-new look.

There was a festive spirit at the shrine complex in this Sikh holy city as thousands of people came here to offer prayers and seek blessings.

The domes, buildings and floors of the shrine complex were cleaned and lighted up for the festive occasion.
