Helmets for Sikh women: Bibi Jagir Kaur convenes meeting on July 12

The Istri Akali Dal (IAD) president Bibi Jagir Kaur today said that a meeting will  be held with the female Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee members on July 12.

The meeting that is to be held on July 12, will be held at the party head office in Amritsar, Punjab, as per the official information. The Sikh female intellectuals will also be a part of the meeting.

Intervening in a calling attention, the issue of helmets mandatory for Sikh women will be  discussed in the meeting. Apart from this, the next strategy will be decided on the issue, as per information. 

On July 6, the Chandigarh Administration had ordered to make wearing of helmet mandatory for two wheeler riding women in the city beautiful.
