Jalandhar: Fire breaks out in Saryu Yamuna Express train at Kartarpur station

Punjab: The Saryu-Yamuna Express train from Jaynagar to Amritsar (14649) caught fire near Kartarpur railway station in Jalandhar. According to the information, the three coaches of the train burned straight down. The S1, S2 and S3 coaches were on fire.

The locals onformed the police and fire brigade rushed to the spot and started extinguishing the fire.

As per reports, the fire started from the S1 coack after which it caught two various other coaches. However, the reason for the fire is not disclosed yet. At the same time, no casualities have been reported so far.
