Punjab Assembly Elections 2022: Ex-bank employee Jiwan Singh Sangowal quit his regular job to run for the 2008 MC election on the Bharatiya Janata Party's ticket.
He was elected the Municipal Councillor, however, quit BJP in 2015.
Sangowal then contested the MC election as an Independent candidate and in 2016, he joined Aam Aadmi Party.
