CBSE releases final datesheet for Class 10, 12 board exams 2026; exams to begin on February 17
The CBSE stated that the early release of the schedule would help students prepare better and reduce exam anxiety
PTC Web Desk: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the final datesheet for the 2026 board examinations for Classes 10 and 12. As announced earlier, the exams will commence on February 17, 2026. This detailed schedule comes just days after the tentative datesheet was issued on September 24, 2025.
The CBSE said it released the tentative schedule 146 days before the exams to allow schools and stakeholders to review and share suggestions. The final datesheet, prepared after receiving the list of candidates and subject combinations, has now been issued 110 days in advance , the earliest ever in CBSE’s history.
The CBSE stated that the early release of the schedule would help students prepare better and reduce exam anxiety, while also allowing schools, teachers and families to plan more effectively. The move is also aimed at preventing overlap between the CBSE exams and JEE Main. The board has advised schools to share Class 11 registration numbers with students applying for JEE Main, as required by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
