Ambala triple murder: Three family members shot dead over property dispute in Haryana, three booked
According to the villagers, the family had been facing disputes over ancestral property and money for a long time.
PTC News Desk: Three members of a family were shot dead and one critically injured over property and money dispute in in Bichpari village of Haryana’s Shahzadpur area in Ambala district on Saturday evening.
The incident took place around 5:30 pm when 22-year-old Abhishek of Bichpari village opened fire on his elder brother Sandeep Kumar (40), grandmother Isro Devi (in 90s), and uncle (chacha) Mahinder Singh (50).
Mahinder's wife Sunita (45) sustained critical injuries and is battling for life in hospital.
Based on a complaint filed by Sandeep’s wife Neha, Ambala Police registered a case on Sunday against Abhishek, his father Satbir Singh, and mother Usha at Shahzadpur Police Station.
The case has been filed under Sections 61 (criminal conspiracy) and 103(1) (punishment for murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, along with Section 25 of the Arms Act.
In her complaint, Neha alleged that her father-in-law Satbir Singh and brother-in-law Abhishek secretly sold sand from their share of land as well as from land belonging to Mahinder Singh, who is Satbir’s brother. She claimed that the money earned from the sand sale was divided between Satbir and Abhishek, while Mahinder Singh was not given any share.
The incident has left the entire village in shock and mourning. Villagers said the family had been facing disputes over ancestral property and money for a long time. An elderly grandmother, who had seen three generations of the family living together, also became a victim of the violence.
