Faridabad: 15-year-old girl allegedly abducted, gang-raped in moving car; 4 unidentified men booked

The girl remained missing from around 7 pm on October 26 until 4 am the next morning, when accused finally dropped her near her home before fleeing in their vehicle

PTC Web Desk:  A 15-year-old girl from Faridabad, Haryana, was allegedly abducted and sexually assaulted by four men after being taken away in a car on Tuesday evening. The girl, a Class 8 student, had gone to the Sector 18 market around 7 pm on October 26 and was later reported missing when she did not return home.

According to police officials, the girl remained missing from around 7 pm on October 26 until 4 am the next morning. The accused reportedly dropped her near her home before fleeing in their vehicle.

In the complaint filed by the victim’s sister, she mentioned that the family began searching for the girl when she did not return from the market. “My sister came home around 4.30 am on October 27. She told us that four men had forced her into a car and taken her to a secluded area, where she was given some intoxicant and then sexually assaulted,” the complainant said.

Based on the complaint, the police have registered a case against four unidentified men under relevant sections of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act at the Faridabad Old Police Station.

Station House Officer (SHO) Vishnu Mittar stated that the survivor is not yet in a condition to record her statement. He added that a detailed investigation is in progress and CCTV footage from the Sector 18 market area is being reviewed. “Efforts are underway to identify and arrest the accused,” he said.
