J&K: Exchange of fire between security forces and terrorists stops in Doda district

This comes days after four soldiers martyred while battling terrorists in the Doda encounter

Jammu and Kashmir: The exchange of fire between security forces and terrorists in the Kastigarh area of Doda district, Jammu and Kashmir, halted on Thursday. 

Earlier today, an encounter between security forces and terrorists broke out in the Kastigarh area of Doda.

This comes days after four soldiers were martyred, including an officer, who lost their lives in a previous encounter in Doda

The clash began in the Desa Forest area of Doda on Monday evening. The fallen soldiers have been identified as Captain Brijesh Thapa, Naik D Rajesh, Sepoy Bijendra, and Sepoy Ajay.

These events are set against a backdrop of recent terror attacks in the Jammu region, including an assault on an army convoy in Kathua and multiple encounters in Doda and Udhampur.
