Villagers claim detained youths have no connection with Jagman Samra, who has released the videos, and that they were solely engaged in farming and other legitimate businesses
PTC Web Desk: Tension gripped Phaguwala village in Sangrur district after three local youths were taken into police custody following the viral circulation of a video related to Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann by Canadian citizen Jagman Samra.
According to reports, the villagers were alarmed and three families reportedly vacated their homes in protest. The police detained Ravinder Singh Ravi, Rupinder Singh Romi and Jaswinder Singh Jassi. The detention sparked outrage among the villagers, who held a meeting led halka incharge Vinerjeet Singh Goldy.
During the meeting, villagers said the detained youths had no connection with Jagman Samra and were solely engaged in farming and other legitimate businesses. They alleged that the arrests were based on false allegations and made at the behest of the Punjab Government.
