Punjab shocker: Man throws 17-year-old daughter into canal in Ferozepur over ‘character doubts’, records video

PTC Web Desk: In a shocking case from Punjab’s Ferozepur, a man has been arrested for allegedly killing his 17-year-old daughter by throwing her into a canal while recording the incident on his phone. The victim’s hands were tied, and her mother was present at the scene, pleading helplessly to stop the crime.
According to the police, the accused, father of five daughters, often doubted the character of his eldest child. Neighbours revealed that he was always strict with her. However, no one had imagined he would commit such a brutal act.
The incident, which took place on September 30, came to light after the victim’s aunt informed the police. During interrogation, the accused admitted that he had tried to explain things to his daughter several times but, when she refused to follow his instructions, he decided to kill her.
The video, now in police possession, shows the father asking his daughter: “Was there any lack of love?” to which she replies, “No.” He then drags her to the canal. The mother pleads with the girl to stop and tries to intervene, but the father forcefully pushes the girl into the canal.
As the girl drowns, her mother screams that she would also jump in, but the father replies, “Who will take care of the other daughters?” Shockingly, he even waves ‘bye-bye’ to his daughter as she drowns.
In the video, the man is also heard saying, “She blackened my face three times, I had warned her. Today, I threw her. I killed her. Now tomorrow, we’ll share this video.”
The police have registered a case. Further investigations are underway. The accused has been arrested.
