Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi on Tuesday announced that the upcoming Civil Hospital of Mohali will be named 'Sahibzada Ajit Singh Civil Hospital'.
Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi announced this after Mohali MLA Balbir Sidhu and deputy CM OP Soni requested him to give the name of the new civil hospital after Sahibzada Ajit Singh.

Punjab CM was present during the occasion of laying the foundation stone of the 350-bedded Civil Hospital of Mohali.

The Chief Minister also announced that Rs 10 crore will be sanctioned for the auditorium of the hospital.
The new Civil Hospital of Mohali — 'Sahibzada Ajit Singh Civil Hospital' — will be constructed at Sector 66 on 8.75 acres of land. It will be a five-story hospital, said Balbir Sidhu.
Meanwhile, Channi also announced that Mohali will get a new Bus Stand soon.
