SGPC restores services of 523 sacked employees
Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee restored the services of 523 sacked employees on Wednesday.

A total of 523 employees recruited during the tenure of former SGPC President Kirpal Singh Badungar, were terminated. A majority of SGPC employees were employed on non-teaching posts. After being terminated, they sat on a hunger strike outside the SGPC office and demanded reinstatement.
Various talks were held between dismissed employees and SGPC Chief Secretary Roop Singh, General Secretary Gurbachan Singh Karmoowala, but in vain.
