Rebel Aam Aadmi Party leader Sukhpal Singh Khaira resigned from the primary membership of Aam Aadmi Party on Sunday.

The move comes amid ahead as earlier Sukhpal Khaira had announced to float a new political outfit for the 2019 Lok Sabha polls and assembly eletions. Khaira sent his resignation to AAP supremo and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind kejriwal through E-Mail .

In the E-Mail , Sukhpal Khaira stated that, I am constrained to forward my resignation from the primary membership of AAP, as the party has totally deviated from the ideology and principles on which it was formed post Anna Hazare movement.

According to sources, Rebel AAP leader Sukhpal Khaira is likely to announce new political outfit on January 8 in Chandigarh. However, Khaira has not resigned from the MLA seat as yet.Earlier, AAP Punjab unit had suspended Sukhpal Singh Khaira and MLA Kharar, Kanwar Sandhu from the party on December 25.
