PTC Web Desk: Russia on Wednesday claimed that Ukraine attempted a drone strike on the Kremlin with the aim of killing President Vladimir Putin, according to the state-run RIA news agency.

No casualty has been reported as the drones were disabled before "they could strike", Russia claimed. The Kremlin termed it as "planned terrorist action". It maintained that two drones were used in the alleged attack.  The Kremlin said Russian President Vladimir Putin was not injured and that there was no damage to the Kremlin buildings.

An unverified video circulating on Russian social media shows pale smoke rising behind the main Kremlin Palace in the walled citadel after the purported incident.

On the other hand, Ukraine said it had nothing to do with the drone strike.

Russia said the drones were disabled using electronic radar assets
