Amritsar: Another FIR against Bikram Singh Majithia
Days after getting interim bail in the drugs case, Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia has been booked for Covid violations after several supporters gathered at the Golden Gate in Amritsar, the police sources said.
Bikram Singh Majithia was greeted by over 200 supporters at the Golden Gate after he arrived in Amritsar. His visit comes after being granted interim bail in connection with the drugs case.

Reportedly, the police has booked him under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code and provisions under the Disaster Management Act and the Epidemic Disease Act.
On January 11, Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia had made his first media appearance after getting interim bail in the drugs case. He broke down while recalling an incident from Gurdwara Nada Sahib, Panchkula, where he had gone to pay obeisance.
The SAD leader paid obeisance at Panchkula's Nada Sahib Gurdwara and said he was left touched by the gesture of a woman, who hugged him and prayed for his wellbeing and success.
"Justice prevails," he had said while reiterating that it was the result of political vendetta against him. On joining the investigations in the drugs cases, the SAD leader said, "there is no denying the fact and he will appear before the High Court."
