Amritsar Court Frames Charges Against Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal & 2 Others in Majithia Defamation Case

Amritsar: Charges were framed against AAP Convener and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, Sanjay Singh and Ashish Khetan by the district court here in the defamation case filed by Punjab Cabinet Minister Bikram Singh Majithia. Next hearing is scheduled on 17th January 2017. Mr Majithia reached Amritsar on Friday to attend the case in the district court. Mr Kejriwal did not appear in the court today. Talking to reporters, after the hearing, Mr Majithia said that he will send Mr Kejriwal to jail. "Mr Kejriwal is a Haryanvi by heart, his soul is Delhi's and he knows nothing about Punjab", he added. Mr Majithia filed the defamation case against Mr Kejriwal and two others after they alleged him of being involved in drug rackets. Earlier, Mr Kejriwal appeared in the court on 1 November. He challenged Mr Majithia to get him arrested.
