Roof collapses due to heavy rainfall in Amritsar, four killed

In a tragic incident, four members of a family died after the roof of their house collapsed in Mule Chak, Amritsar on Friday, following heavy rainfall in the area. The identification of all the four deceased is yet to be ascertained. Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rains and hailstorms over Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, North Rajasthan, Delhi, Chandigarh and various parts of West Uttar Pradesh till Saturday.

IMD Warning:

According to the Chandigarh Mausam (IMD), the thunderstorm/hailstorm accompanied by lightning and gusty winds (wind speed 30-40 Kmph) has been predicted at the isolated places for March 5 and 6 in the areas of Punjab and Haryana. Likewise, heavy rain is likely at an isolated place on March 5 and 6 in both the states. Meanwhile, thunderstorms are predicted in the Delhi-NCR region and its surrounding areas until Saturday. As per the IMD advisory for Delhi-NCR and Noida, thunderstorms are likely to hit the region from Thursday to Saturday. Two cars collided in Mohali

Amid heavy rainfall in the city since Thursday night, two cars collided at Airport light near Chhat village, Zirakpur. However, there has been no information about how the accident took place. Likewise, there have been no inputs about the fatalities or injuries. The police has been working on getting as many inputs as it can. -PTC News
