Amritsar: Residents beat Drug Peddlers in Chatiwind village for selling drugs
Amritsar: In a major incident, the people of Punjab took an initiative to stand against the Drug abuse and to raise voice against it. Likewise, an incident has erupted in Chatiwind village of Amritsar, where some drug peddlers have been beaten up for selling the drugs. 
They were not one or two, instead, they were many, which were beaten by the villagers in an order to finish the drug abuse, which is a major issue of Punjab. 
As per reports, these peddlers were here to deliver and sell the drugs. Also, the business of drugs was at its peak in Chatiwind village for days. Hence, the villagers took an initiative to stand by themselves. 
Though Punjab Government during the Elections, made several promises over finishing the drugs from Punjab from the roots, at last, all these were noted, but the false promises.

Therefore, the incident of Chatiwind village has set an example, that one should not wait for the government to take a step, instead the people themselves must be aware and raise their voice against such drug abuse and against these peddlers.
