Amritsar's Khalsa College rejoices student Bhavani Devi's achievement in Tokyo Olympics

Punjab news: Bhavani Devi, who has made history by becoming the first-ever fencer to represent India in Tokyo Olympics, has brought Amritsar's Khalsa College on the world map. Bhavani Devi is a student of MA English at Khalsa College, Amritsar. She has become the first Indian to go to the Olympics in fencing, which in itself is like creating history, and also became the first to win a bout in the world games underway at Tokyo. Once the news of her achievement reached the college, the campus reverberated with sounds of celebrations. Originally, she hailed from Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He said they were proud of Bhavani Devi's performance. After getting knocked out from the Tokyo Olympics, the Indian fencer took to Twitter and apologised for not making it to the next level. He said the country was proud of her contributions. On the other hand, Khalsa College Principal Dr Mehal Singh said their another student, Divyansh Singh Panwar, a student of BSc part-1, also represented India in the Olympics in the 10m air rifle event.
