Anantnag encounter: Four terrorists killed in Jammu and Kashmir

In a major victory for Indian armed forces, as many as four unidentified terrorists have been killed in the Anantnag encounter, said Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday. According to the sources, few terrorists were believed to be hiding at the site of the ongoing encounter in Anantnag. The encounter broke out at the Shalgul forest area of Srigufwara in the Anantnag district in Jammu and Kashmir. As per the report, the security forces were deployed in the area where the terrorists were hiding. However, they opened fire at the armed forces that triggered the encounter. The identification of the terrorists, gunned down by the armed forces, was yet to be ascertained. Earlier on February 19, two policemen were killed in a terrorist attack in the Baghat area of Barzulla in Srinagar. On the same day, on three terrorists were also killed in the Budgam area of the Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir. Four unidentified terrorists have been killed in the Anantnag encounter, said Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday. On the other hand, one police personnel had lost his life while another was injured in another encounter that broke out between the security forces and terrorists in Budgam district on February 19.
