Reportedly, Sajjad Maqbool Bhatt was behind the plot of an IED attack on a mobile vehicle patrol of 44 Rashtriya Rifles in Pulwama district, that took place yesterday, in which two security personnel lost their lives. Also, it is pertinent to mention that Bhat and Tauseef were allegedly involved in Pulwama Terror Attack of February 14 in which 40 CRPF soldiers lost their lives.
As per reports, it was Bhat’s explosive-laden car which was used in an attack. The car rammed into the CRPF convoy on February 14 suicide attack in Lethpora area of Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir. This Pulwama Terror Attack led to the Indian Air Strike in Balakot sector of Pakistan. The Anantnag Encounter took place on Tuesday morning, following the Army Major’s death in a gunfight in South Kashmir.
The Indian Army after receiving inputs from sources about the presence of terrorists in Bijbehara launched a search operation. During the operation, a terrorist opened fire and hence the encounter took place.
